Temporary accommodation

Arranging somewhere to stay when you first arrive in the UK is essential. Probably the easiest option for you initially, is to stay with family or friends - although there is loads of temporary accommodation available, from hostels, Guesthouses, B and B’s to hotels, if you don’t have this option.

UK utilities

Most tenants are responsible for water rates, electricity, gas, Council tax, unless otherwise stated in the tenancy agreement. The UK also requires all those who own a television or television equipment to pay for a TV license. Landline and Internet connection is rarely included in the rent, but you’ll find that connection is cheap and readily available across the UK.
