The Professional Contractors Group (PCG) has announced plans for the first annual National Freelancers day, to be held on the Monday 23rd November.

PCG, which represents freelancers in the UK, has announced plans for the inaugural National Freelancers day, to celebrate the contribution Freelancers make to the UK economy and to mark the groups 10th Anniversary.

PCG, who’s mission, is to see freelancers; “enjoy the optimum environment in which to operate and thrive”, has laid out five key aims for the day:

Fair and equitable taxationThe right to work freelanceGovernment to make it easier for clients to engage freelancersRecognition that freelancers are in business on their own accountFreelancing to be respected as a valid career choice and essential ingredient in the success of UK Plc
