Since these regulations were introduced they have placed the responsibility for determining employment status squarely on your shoulders. If you are in 'deemed' employment then the regulations will apply to you. If however you are operating in a self-employed context then the regulations will not affect you. But how do you tell the difference? JSA's IR35 Status Review Unit has extensive knowledge and experience in assessing your engagement so as to come to a determination on your employment status. In fact, JSA is one of only a handful of accounting firms to have been awarded QA status by the PCG in recognition of its expertise on contracting matters, including IR35.
Whether your contract is written or simply by word of mouth the Review Unit will assess the engagement and provide you with a full report, argued in detail as to why we have reached that decision, pass or fail. The cost of the service is £125 (+VAT) for JSA clients, (for those who are not JSA clients the cost is £175 + VAT) for each contract reviewed.
